The Story Behind GreyhoundIQ
An independent greyhound race analysis tool — built at the track, refined by results.
Greyhound racing is fast, chaotic, and full of noise. Tipsters with agendas. Odds that move for reasons you can’t see. Race cards that take twenty minutes to study properly — and by the time you’re done, the market’s moved and the dogs are in the traps.
GreyhoundIQ was built out of frustration with exactly that. It started as a personal tool, used at Monmore Green with a phone in one hand and minutes between races. Every feature in it exists because it solved a real problem at a real meeting.
What became obvious over time is that the same analysis is even more useful sat at a desk. The engine doesn’t care what device it runs on — but a full screen shows you far more of the picture at once. So the app was built to work properly in both places rather than being a phone tool with a cramped desktop version bolted on.
What It Actually Does
GreyhoundIQ is race analysis software. It doesn’t pick winners — no honest tool claims to. What it does is take the information already available to you — form, odds, conditions, track, trap — and organise it into a consistent scoring system so you can make faster, better-informed decisions.
Six analysis engines run on every race: AI race card scanning, form scoring, drift and steam detection, SP value calculation, a track and conditions engine, and straight tricast ranking. Individually they each tell you something. Together they give you a picture of a race that would take an experienced form student a considerable amount of time to build manually.
Two Ways People Use It
Trackside, it’s a speed tool. Scan the card, scan the odds, analyse, bet — the whole loop runs in under ninety seconds, which is roughly the window you have between races. Scan the odds again three minutes before the off and re-analyse to catch late market movement.
At a desk, it becomes a study tool. Every signal is visible on one screen, the full breakdown of why each dog scored what it did is readable at a glance, and you can work through an entire card methodically. Screenshot your analysis, compare it against the actual result afterwards, and build a real sense of where the engine performs best.
Both use cases were tested extensively during development. Neither is an afterthought.
What GreyhoundIQ Is Not
It’s worth being clear about this.
GreyhoundIQ is not a tipster service. It does not tell you which dog to back. It is not a betting system with a claimed strike rate or guaranteed returns. It has no affiliation with any bookmaker, track operator, or racing authority.
It is a data tool. The decisions you make with it are yours.
Gamble Responsibly
Greyhound betting involves real money and real risk. GreyhoundIQ is designed to help you make more informed decisions — not to remove the uncertainty that is inherent to betting.
Please only bet what you can afford to lose. If gambling is causing you problems, free confidential support is available at BeGambleAware.org and through the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, open 24 hours.
